一、 machine

machine在牛津词典中的解释是：“a piece of equipment with moving parts that is designed to do a particular job. The power used to work a machine may be electricity, steam, gas, etc. or human power.”也就是常说的“机器，机械装置”。

eg. I use this machine to plant many potatoes.

二、 machinery

machinery的英文解释为“machines as a group, especially large ones”， 即“机器的**、总称，尤其指的是——大型机器”。

eg. German factories supply machinery , vehicles and technical facilities - a constantly growing amount of exports.

德国工厂提供机械，车辆和技术设施-其出口量不断增长。

三、machinery和machine的区别？

1. machine是动力运转的一部机器，而machinery是一套机械系统，尤其指的是大型机械。

eg：The machinery in the mask factory consists of several different kinds of machines.

2. machine是可数名词，machinery是机器的总称， 是不可数名词。

四、mechanic
